Guess Who’s Coming to Greenwood Little Theatre?
We’re thrilled to announce our next production at Greenwood Little Theatre: Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner, a timeless and thought-provoking story of love, courage, and acceptance. Directed by Greenwood’s own Roishina Clay Henderson, this heartwarming play runs February 27 through March 2, 2025, and promises to be an unforgettable experience.
A Story That Still Resonates
Adapted for the stage by Todd Kreidler, Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner brings to life the challenges faced by an interracial couple in the 1960s. The story centers on Joanna Drayton, a spirited young white woman, and her fiancé, Dr. John Prentice, a widowed Black physician. When Joanna brings John home to meet her liberal-minded parents, tensions arise as both families confront their own beliefs about love, race, and society.
This poignant tale reminds us of the power of love and the courage it takes to challenge societal norms—lessons that remain relevant today.

A Message from the Director
Greenwood native Roishina C. Henderson made her directorial debut with The Enchanted Bookshop in March 2024. A celebrated writer and storyteller, Roishina brings her passion for meaningful narratives and her dedication to community theatre to every production.
Reflecting on her journey, she shares: “What a jewel I’ve found in Greenwood Little Theatre... It’s not just the art of theatre. It’s been the people, my new family, whom I share a passion with in seeing words on a script come to life on stage.”
An alumna of Jackson State University, Roishina is a former journalist with over 500 published articles, four books, and two anthologies to her name.
